No Firm Guarantee of Permanent Home for the Ark

Update: Save The Ark Campaign

We have received a temporary reprieve until summer 2008 from Ealing Council by which time it is hoped that the Ark will find permanent premises.
 
We would like to thank everyone who has supported our appeal but unfortunately our battle is not over as yet. Although we have been granted this reprieve, the Ark’s future is still uncertain as we still have no firm guarantee from Ealing Council of a permanent home for the Ark.
 
We have been asking questions of Ealing Council with regards to their original promise of a permanent space for the Ark which was made when we had to vacate the South Ealing premises that the Council subsequently sold off. To date we have had no firm commitment from the Council with regards to their promise.
 
We are however, pleased to be in dialogue with Ealing Council and look forward to arriving at the Council fulfilling their original promise.
 
Thank you again to everyone for sending in your petitions so far. We need to continue with submissions of more petitions, so if you have not already done so, please do send in your petition as a matter of urgency and please do tell more people and pass this link onto them, this is to ensure that Ealing Council fulfil their promise of finding the Ark an alternative premises.

P.S  In light of the recent events, we are planning a series of fundraising events over the year to ensure that the Ark does not become a casualty like so many other voluntary groups in Ealing despite that fact that they have been providing an essential service to vulnerable individuals and groups in the Borough. We will keep you notified of any developments and ask you to continue your support for the Ark.
